01 — The plan
Arcades, a Saturday market and one of the best-kept squares in Aragon.
Time needed
A morning
Best time
Saturday mornings
Good for
Everyone
Calaceite is built around one of the best-kept squares in Aragon, with arcades, a stone town hall and small galleries in the old houses.

Market morning
On Saturdays the square fills with stalls: vegetables from the gardens, honey, cured meats and almond pastries. Go early for the best of it, then have a vermouth under the arcades.
Look for
The Juan Cabré museum, with the Iberian finds from the hill above the village, the carved doorways along the main street and, on the way out, the Iberian settlement of San Antonio, a short walk among the almond trees.
