Two hours there and back

Best time

Spring and autumn

Good for

Families, walkers

From Beceite a path follows the Matarraña river into a narrow gorge, partly on wooden walkways fixed to the rock. It’s about two hours there and back, and easy enough for children.

Wooden walkways over the river

The walk

The first part is a wide track by the river. Then the walls close in and the path becomes a line of walkways, until the gorge is so narrow you can touch both sides. That is where most people turn back, at the Estrets.

Before you go

In summer the car park fills early, so aim to start before ten. Take water: there’s nowhere to buy any once you’re in the gorge. Wear shoes with grip, as the walkways can be wet.

Plan it with us

We lend bikes, pack a picnic and book guides. Ask the night before and it’s ready when you wake up.

02 — Getting there

How to get there

15 minutes by car to Beceite, then a short road to the car park. Book a parking slot in July and August.
